TENNIS
June 16 and July 23, from 10am-12pm get your kid(s) out with some tennis! This can serve as an opportunity for kids to learn a new sport or work on some skills, but most importantly be active and play! Meet at Tennis Complex behind Falling Springs . Ages 7-12. Pick up is 12pm at Tennis Courts. If inclement weather, we’ll meet on Thursday.

JUNE 11= Ant Colony Picnic Day
Students build their own paper picnic basket and a colony of sneaky ants with pipe cleaners and plastic spoons.
Join us at Big Spring Park on June 12th at 10:00am for a brief and easy craft! In this class, kids will design and decorate their own canvas tote bag. They’ll learn about using fabric paint, and will have the option to bedazzle their bag with sequins, ribbons and beads!
JUNE 25= Design Your Dream Sunglasses
Students design and decorate jumbo-sized cardboard sunglasses with pom poms, beads, pipe cleaners, paper, markers, etc.
Join us at Big Spring Park on June 26th at 10:00am for a brief and easy craft! For this activity, kids will work together to design and paint a group mural. We’ll plan out the mural first. Where is it located? On a farm? In outer space? Underwater? Who is there? Animals? Aliens? Are there mountains or rivers? We’ll discuss foreground, middle ground and background. This will be a great chance for kids to practice creative collaboration and group work!
JULY 9= Cardboard Frog Fly Catchers
Students use cardboard tubes to make frogs on a log, complete with a retractable tongue to catch flies.
Join us at Big Spring Park on July 10th at 10:00am for a brief and easy craft! Using cardboard and foam, kids will cut out, paint and assemble a self-portrait in the style of Picasso/Cubism. Students will learn a bit about the history of Picasso and why he’s an important artist.
JULY 24= Magic Leaf Prints
Students learn about medium resistance and relief printing by making crayon leaf rubbings and coloring on plastic to create a transferable background.
Join us at Big Spring Park on July 24th at 10:00am for a brief and easy craft! Using an array of materials, kids will design, assemble and paint their own abstract sculpture. We’ll look at examples of famous abstract sculptures for inspiration, and will discuss shape, positive/negative space, texture and line.
